About the Role

The TMC Group is seeking a highly skilled Account Manager/Strategic Business Developer to join our team. As a key member of our Performance Solutions team, you will be responsible for strategically positioning and selling our services to mid-tier and Fortune 500 accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new business within designated vertical markets and with current clients
  • Develop strategies and implement plans to grow profitable sales
  • Follow up diligently on leads received and consistently target, prospect, and qualify accounts
  • Achieve annual sales objectives and program margin targets as outlined in the sales plan and incentive compensation plan
  • Demonstrate broad business knowledge and stay current with industry trends and market developments
  • Identify client business drivers, search for pain points, and qualify opportunities prior to committing resources
  • Clearly articulate our value throughout the entire selling cycle
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address critical business issues and growth opportunities
  • Deliver exceptional client experiences and partner with the Product Owner and Operations Team to develop and implement client solutions
  • Build mutually constructive and supportive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Partner with Marketing, Creative Services, and Technology Services to respond to RFPs and manage the RFP process
  • Provide timely and accurate information for CRM updates and adhere to lead management processes and closure targets
  • Anticipate rejections and objections and proactively address them with creative solutions
  • Establish solid relationships across multiple levels of the client base and proactively anticipate client issues and concerns
  • Prepare program transitions to Operations for clients who do not have an assigned CED
  • Stay current with industry developments and take actions to stay at the forefront of the industry and our customers' needs
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience selling services in the individual incentive industry
  • Deep industry knowledge and proven industry success with a track record of closing points-based incentives business
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related area
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with a CRM system, preferably Sales Force
  • Non-negotiable hiring criteria include professional selling and presentation skills, results-oriented behavior, and strong organizational skills
