Key Responsibilities

The Senior Instructor / Instructional Design professional is responsible for developing training materials and delivering instruction on all facets of Advantor products, policies, and procedures to both field and office personnel through a mix of lectures, practical exercises, training manuals, and reference documents.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Conducting training sessions on all Advantor Intrusion Detection Software and Hardware
  • Facilitating training on all Advantor Access Control Software and Hardware
  • Delivering training on all Advantor Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Hardware and Software
  • Providing instruction on Advantor Video Management Hardware and Software
  • Educating employees on Advantor Security policies and procedures
  • Collaborating with Human Resources to design and implement the onboarding process for new hires
  • Creating and delivering training on the design, installation, and maintenance of secure network systems
  • Developing engaging learning activities and effective course content for both in-person and remote training
  • Working with subject matter experts to assess the training needs of the target audience
  • Establishing instructional objectives and developing content that aligns with those goals
  • Researching and applying trends and best practices in educational technologies and instructional design
  • Designing exercises and activities that enhance the learning experience
  • Producing supporting materials/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.)
  • Creating assessment tools, such as tests or quizzes, to evaluate the effectiveness of the training
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a technical training capacity focused on software and networking technologies
  • Demonstrated expert-level technical proficiency and hands-on experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • At least 5 years of experience in instructional design
  • Comprehensive understanding of learning theories and instructional design frameworks
  • Strong skills in lesson and curriculum development
  • Ability to craft effective instructional materials, including text, audio, and video scripts
  • High degree of self-motivation, initiative, and creativity
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to flexible working hours as needed
  • Capability to work independently within a team environment
  • Familiarity with Cisco Networking and Secure Network Systems
