Key Responsibilities

The Senior Instructor / Instructional Design role involves creating educational courseware and delivering training on all facets of Advantor products, policies, and procedures to both field and office personnel through a mix of lectures, practical exercises, training manuals, and reference documents.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Conducting training on all Advantor Intrusion Detection Software and Hardware
  • Facilitating training on all Advantor Access Control Software and Hardware
  • Providing training on all Advantor Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Hardware and Software
  • Delivering training on Advantor Video Management Hardware and Software
  • Instructing on Advantor Employee Security policies and procedures
  • Collaborating with Human Resources to design and implement new hire onboarding experiences
  • Developing and delivering training on the design, installation, and maintenance of closed security networks
  • Creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content for both in-person and remote training
  • Working with subject matter experts to assess the training needs of the target audience
  • Establishing instructional objectives and developing content that aligns with them
  • Researching and applying trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design
  • Providing exercises and activities that enhance the educational experience
  • Producing supporting materials/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.)
  • Creating assessment methods, such as tests or quizzes, to evaluate the effectiveness of the training
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical training capacity with software and networking technologies
  • Expertise in technical skills and hands-on experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design
  • Thorough understanding of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Skills in lesson and curriculum planning
  • Ability to write effective instructional text, audio, and video scripts
  • Demonstrated self-reliance, initiative, and creativity
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain flexible hours as needed
  • Capacity to work independently in a team-oriented environment
  • Familiarity with Cisco Networking and Closed Security Networks
