Position Overview

PALFINGER is currently seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to contribute to our dynamic plant environment. This role is pivotal in enhancing our operational capabilities and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee various facets of industrial engineering, including fixture design, project planning, and process optimization.
  • Provide engineering expertise and support to the Continuous Improvement and Quality departments.
  • Assist in developing processing plans, routing structures, work center configurations, methods, materials handling, manpower requirements, time studies, and cost analyses.
  • Manage the creation and upkeep of both long-term and short-term processing strategies.
  • Prepare and evaluate project proposals, technical studies, and reports.
  • Ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and within budget while meeting or exceeding expectations.
  • Apply knowledge of safety, environmental, and energy considerations throughout project execution.
  • Act as a representative for the department within the organization and liaise with external vendors and contractors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of four years of relevant experience.

Core Competencies:

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, particularly SAP.
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as Pro-E, Solidworks, AutoCAD, and Creo.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to cultivate relationships with colleagues and external partners.
  • Adaptable to change and receptive to constructive feedback.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
