Role Overview:

As an Advanced Thin Film Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in translating product specifications into efficient processes and pioneering solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, optimizing, and characterizing thin film processes to fulfill the demands of state-of-the-art 3D NAND technology.
  • Troubleshooting process-related defects, yield, and reliability challenges.
  • Identifying and strategizing key thin film obstacles for the upcoming 3D NAND technology nodes.
  • Collaborating with vendors to evaluate tools and chemistries through comprehensive assessments.

Collaboration and Development:
You will work closely with thin film equipment suppliers to innovate new equipment and processes tailored to Micron's technological requirements for 3D NAND devices. Additionally, you will:

  • Define and drive roadmap initiatives for next-generation 3D NAND products.
  • Design experiments, execute wafer processing, and analyze data to present conclusions and recommendations to various stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment with Micron's internal EHSS standards to foster a safe working environment.

Quality Control and Support:
Your role will also involve:

  • Transferring processes to high-volume manufacturing facilities and ensuring thorough documentation of requirements for equipment, facilities, metrology, quality control, and procedures.
  • Developing and monitoring quality control plans, including statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
  • Providing expert consultation to manufacturing on first-of-a-kind equipment and processes post-transfer to guarantee successful yield ramp.
  • Leading cross-functional teams focused on process development and defect resolution.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
