About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Territory Sales Manager to join our team at RECO Equipment. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and revenue in your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent RECO Equipment in the market, upholding our company values and standards.
  • Secure new business opportunities through effective sales strategies, including:
    • Planning and executing field rental days, including scheduled meetings, new business prospecting, and cold call job site/office walk-ups.
    • Conducting machine and attachment training for new customers.
    • Ensuring consistent performance in key areas of focus, including account management, new business prospecting, effective CRM utilization, and product training.
  • Responsible for the overall performance in a defined geographic territory, measured by total rental volume, market share, and profitability.
  • Perform weekly administrative tasks and excel in quarterly reviews, demonstrating growth and a willingness to follow our process.
  • Monitor business trends, market intelligence, customer and trade attitudes, competitive practices, and product performance characteristics to effectively communicate the state of the business.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of all GSE products to offer consultative assistance in areas of machine specifications and performance, as well as attachments suited for specific needs and market applications.
  • Work closely with the assigned Regional Rental Manager to develop and prioritize new business opportunities, market share growth potentials, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with all existing customers and form new partnerships through networking and cold calling.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet General Liability driving requirements to operate a company vehicle when necessary.
  • Minimum 3 years of outside B2B sales experience required, with rental experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and maintain positive relationships with all customers and leaders at all levels.
  • Excellent customer satisfaction skills and the ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
  • Proven ability to effectively market products, negotiate terms, and close deals.
  • Self-starter, proactive, strategic thinker, and resourceful.
  • Effective organizational, time management, and priority-setting skills to complete numerous tasks under time constraints.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision and also in a team environment, working with other departments for maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google platform.
  • Familiarity with CRM-based software.
  • Ability to travel within a territory and work flexible hours, as well as work in various environmental conditions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, quickly evaluate facts, and maintain good judgment when making decisions.
  • Physical ability to climb in and out of vehicles and equipment used for demonstration purposes.
