Position: General Manager

Salary Range: $115,000 - $125,000

Role Summary

As a General Manager, you will oversee the operational management of the account, ensuring alignment with the established budget while fulfilling client expectations. Your role will involve nurturing strong relationships with staff, clients, and guests, as well as collaborating with various departments within the organization. You will play a crucial role in fostering professional development among your team and ensuring seamless integration of dining services with overall operational plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead employee meetings, performance reviews, and training initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Maintain food cost efficiency while upholding quality standards.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with staff, clients, and guests.
  • Oversee financial management, including reporting, budgeting, and cash handling.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Manage inventory and purchasing processes effectively.
  • Collaborate with chefs to plan diverse and appealing menus.
  • Implement HACCP controls and ensure proper food storage practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8-10 years of experience in upscale food service, with at least 6 years in a management role.
  • Proven experience in personnel management, including hiring and training.
  • Strong track record of achieving organizational goals in line with policies.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining focus.
  • Experience in food purchasing and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in budget creation and financial forecasting.
  • Knowledge of cash handling and reconciliation processes.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in food service.
  • Exceptional business etiquette and client relationship management.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Significant catering experience is essential.
  • Commitment to the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • ServSafe or Department of Health certification is advantageous.
