Eaton Corporation - Manufacturing Operations Leader

As a pivotal member of Eaton's IS AER MSD division, the Manufacturing Operations Leader will be responsible for overseeing operational excellence within the organization.

Compensation: The anticipated annual salary for this position ranges from $91,000 to $134,200. This role also includes eligibility for a variable incentive program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed operational performance metrics, focusing on Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Inventory.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives utilizing root cause analysis techniques.
  • Foster talent development within the Integrated Product Team (IPT) to enhance team performance.
  • Support the formulation and implementation of Sales Inventory and Operations Plans (SIOP) with an emphasis on capacity and material planning.
  • Lead and execute operational strategies within the SIOP framework.
  • Act as a Continuous Improvement Champion, guiding cross-functional teams towards enhanced productivity and waste reduction.
  • Oversee daily operational execution, prioritizing tasks for Manufacturing Engineers, Production Supervisors, Material Planners, and Quality Engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental protocols in all operational processes.
  • Develop and manage weekly/monthly production schedules aligned with the SIOP plan.
  • Integrate Environmental, Health, and Safety considerations into daily operations.
  • Achieve established IPT goals for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, and responsiveness.
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies for problem-solving and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct regular reviews of key metrics and implement actions for enhancement.
  • Mentor and coach direct reports, providing performance feedback and fostering professional growth.
  • Support customer needs with a focus on delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent military experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment with a focus on production goals and operations planning.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience managing direct reports in a manufacturing setting.
  • Must meet U.S. person criteria as defined by ITAR regulations.
  • All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in operations management or a similar leadership role.
  • Proficient understanding of business finance and the ability to connect financial outcomes with operational strategies.
  • Experience with life support equipment is advantageous.
  • Strategic thinker with the capability to develop operational plans.
  • In-depth knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Proven track record of leading and facilitating effective change.
