Research Grant Specialist II

Cedars-Sinai is a leader in providing high-quality healthcare encompassing primary care, specialized medicine, and research. We are seeking a highly skilled Research Grant Specialist II to join our team in the Department of Medicine.
Key Responsibilities:- Work with Principal Investigators to complete and submit federal and non-federal grants.
- Monitor grant accounts, track expenses, and provide grant and financial reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, federal and local agency requirements, including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and local Institutional Review Board.
- Identify opportunities for research funding and negotiate budgets for clinical trials.
- Assist with research participant billing and maintain research practices using Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
- Participate in required training and education programs.
- Create clinical trial budgets and work with research coordinators on post-award management.
- Work with DOM Manager, Division Directors, and research faculty to provide deficit resolution on sponsored research projects.
- Create research staffing models and projections.
- Meet monthly with research programs to review research portfolios.
- High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor of Arts or Science degree preferred.
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience in administration of research grants.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills and solid understanding of federal and major funding agency grant submission guidelines.
- Experience working with multi-Principal Investigator proposals.
