Job Title: Staff Accountant

At Habitat for Humanity Spokane, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity and accuracy of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Account Reconciliations: Oversee daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly account reconciliations, researching transaction history to resolve any unreconciled items.
  • Accounts Receivable (A/R): Process statements for A/R, manage and reconcile HOA accounts, collect accounts by sending statement reminders and communicating with clients, and process reports from mortgage companies.
  • Payroll Processing: Process bi-monthly payroll through a 3rd party vendor, check account balances, and create payroll reports as needed.
  • General Accounting Duties: Make journal and ledger entries, assist in A/P & A/R best practices, produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and oversee inventory.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from a four-year college or university.
  • Two years of work-related experience.
