Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Arepet Express, LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of sand for the oil field, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispatch and Deployment: Coordinate with drivers to dispatch and deploy staff and vehicles based on orders received.
  • Scheduling and Optimization: Schedule loads while utilizing and maximizing driver hours and loaded miles.
  • Prioritization and Resource Management: Prioritize orders according to urgency and importance, utilizing resources effectively to meet priorities.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Anticipate change and/or problems and reallocate resources efficiently.
  • Load Management and Forecasting: Manage and adjust forecasted loads based on customer needs.
  • Decision-Making and Accountability: Confidently make good decisions under time constraints and take accountability for those decisions.
  • Communication and Escalation: Use effective listening skills to gather information and/or to identify potential problems, escalating information when necessary to management.
  • Logistics and Record-Keeping: Manage and track driver logs, tickets, and other documents.
  • Route Monitoring and Coordination: Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize driver schedules.
  • Driver Support and Information: Provide drivers with information about orders, traffic, obstacles, and requirements.
  • Data Entry and Record-Keeping: Enter data in computer systems and maintain logs and records of calls, activities, and other information.
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Time Management and Organization: Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Self-Motivation and Accountability: Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and high level of accountability.
  • Clerical Procedures and Systems: Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as record-keeping and filing.
  • Independence and Adaptability: Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situations.
  • Oil Field Experience and Bilingualism: Oil field experience preferred, bilingual (Spanish) required.
  • Software Knowledge: Knowledge of McLeod software preferred.
Education and Experience
  • Education: High School diploma, General Education degree (GED), or equivalent.
  • Experience: Six months experience in transportation/trucking industry preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged Sitting and Computer Work: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and telephone.
  • Lifting and Mobility: Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Availability: Must be available to work weekends and day and night shifts.
