Position Overview

We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to oversee our financial operations and strategy.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be accountable for directing the financial actions of the organization. This role encompasses monitoring cash flow, financial forecasting, evaluating the company’s financial strengths and weaknesses, and recommending corrective measures. The CFO will be instrumental in defining the financial strategy, ensuring fiscal health, and facilitating growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Financial Planning:
    • Formulate and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's long-term objectives.
    • Supervise the creation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and analytical reports.
    • Assess and suggest modifications to project pricing strategies, contract evaluation processes, and operational efficiencies.
    • Provide strategic insights to the CEO and executive leadership regarding financial performance and forecasts.
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Lead the financial planning and analysis department.
    • Guarantee precise and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
    • Manage cash flow, investment strategies, and capital structure decisions.
    • Evaluate and enhance the company’s financial performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Risk Assessment:
    • Recognize and mitigate financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks.
    • Establish and enforce internal controls to protect company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Align risk management strategies with the overall business objectives.
  • Leadership and Development:
    • Guide, mentor, and develop the finance team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
    • Collaborate with other departments to meet their financial requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
    • Present financial outcomes and strategies to the board of directors, investors, and stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to all financial regulations and standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
    • Oversee tax strategy and compliance, collaborating with external auditors and tax professionals.
    • Guarantee that financial practices meet corporate governance standards and best practices.
Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • At least 15 years of progressive financial experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and risk assessment within the construction or utilities sectors.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of corporate finance, capital markets, and financial instruments.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High integrity and reliability, with a strong focus on results.
  • Proficiency in financial software and analytical tools.
