The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is seeking a Vice President (VP) in the Supervision and Risk Management (SRM) Division.

The VP role encompasses the alignment and execution of strategic initiatives; formulating operational plans to meet objectives for designated business sectors while ensuring performance aligns with the overarching mission of the Bank; and overseeing the development, advancement, and succession planning of personnel.

This position necessitates capabilities, experiences, and skills suitable for leading a diverse team of managers and individual contributors, as well as engaging with and influencing peers across the Federal Reserve System.

The role will provide leadership and daily management of the Statistics and Data Management department (SDM).

SDM is responsible for data management services related to regulatory data collections within the 10th District and supervises various data quality and collection services tied to core supervisory functions.

In the immediate future, the position will also act as the local business change executive for the rollout of transformative national Supervision and Regulation (S&R) technology initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

Attract, cultivate, and retain a high-quality workforce with diverse skill sets, ensuring a pipeline of successors and talent pools for critical roles.

Foster a workplace culture that encourages collaboration, inclusivity, innovation, and teamwork.
Partner with senior leadership to develop strategies, policies, procedures, productivity/cost/efficiency targets, and budgets. Ensure that strategies are translated into actionable plans to achieve objectives and fulfill business needs.

Accountable for daily management oversight and achievement of strategic business goals and operational targets, including productivity, quality, and efficiency metrics.

Ensure adherence to control standards and procedures, measuring and monitoring progress to ensure objectives are met.
Identify opportunities to implement initiatives aimed at reducing costs and enhancing efficiencies/productivity, as necessary.
Establish and maintain productive working relationships with peers within the Bank, the Federal Reserve System, and other stakeholders.

Participate as the 10th District's representative in the System group, the Committee on Current Reporting Series (CCRS), and serve as a backup member for the Steering Committee for Report Review (SCRR).

Act as the data owner for the FR 2028D - Small Business Lending Survey.
Ensure that data management activities supporting System and District supervisory processes meet service level expectations.
Lead and engage in key national governance groups for the Statistics business line.

Secondary Responsibilities:


Contribute actively to the Bank's leadership initiatives, including strategic planning, goal setting, policy formulation, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts, and organizational workforce development, mentorship, and succession planning.

Manage the financial resources of the business line effectively in accordance with budgetary and policy guidelines. Evaluate business needs alongside resource constraints, ensuring resources are allocated strategically to meet demands.
Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, fostering relationships built on trust and mutual respect.
