About this Role

We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to oversee our financial operations.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be instrumental in steering the financial direction of the organization. This role encompasses the management of cash flow, financial forecasting, and the evaluation of the company's financial health, along with recommending necessary adjustments. The CFO will be a key player in formulating financial strategies, ensuring fiscal stability, and facilitating growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Financial Planning:
    • Formulate and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term objectives.
    • Supervise the creation of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and detailed analyses.
    • Assess and suggest modifications to project pricing strategies, contract evaluations concerning risk and cash flow, and operational efficiencies.
    • Provide insightful recommendations to the executive team regarding financial performance and future projections.
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Direct the financial planning and analysis operations of the company.
    • Guarantee precise and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
    • Manage cash flow, investment strategies, and decisions related to capital structure.
    • Evaluate and enhance the company's financial performance, pinpointing areas for improvement and executing necessary changes.
  • Risk Assessment:
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks.
    • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
    • Align risk management strategies with the overall business objectives.
  • Leadership and Development:
    • Guide, mentor, and cultivate the finance team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous development.
    • Collaborate with various departments to meet their financial requirements and ensure alignment with the company’s goals.
    • Communicate financial outcomes and strategies to stakeholders, including the board of directors and investors.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to all financial regulations and standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
    • Oversee tax planning and compliance, working closely with external auditors and tax consultants.
    • Maintain corporate governance standards and best practices in financial operations.
Qualifications

Essential Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline; MBA or CPA is preferred.
  • At least 15 years of progressive financial experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and risk assessment within the construction or utilities industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of corporate finance, capital markets, and financial instruments.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster relationships with stakeholders.
  • High integrity and reliability, coupled with a strong results-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in financial software and analytical tools.
