Job Title: Executive Sous Chef

Job Summary:

The Executive Sous Chef will work in tandem with the Executive Chef to lead the culinary team and drive the success of Casuda Canyon Restaurant Corporation. This role requires a strong leader who can develop and implement menu strategies, manage kitchen operations, and ensure exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement menu strategies to drive sales and customer satisfaction
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, food safety, and sanitation
  • Lead the culinary team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement kitchen policies and procedures
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining high-quality food presentation and service standards
  • Manage labor costs and inventory levels to maintain profitability
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure the restaurant remains competitive

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a senior chef or executive sous chef in a high-volume restaurant environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree preferred
