Job Overview

Position Summary:

The individual in this role will oversee the financial operations of the organization, focusing on both incoming and outgoing funds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all facets of billing, including Medicaid, private insurance, and various funding contracts.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance the collection of fees and rents.
  • Monitor service units to ensure that funding sources are utilized effectively and within budgetary constraints.
  • Work alongside Admissions to identify and optimize client funding sources for revenue collection.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the external accounting firm.
  • Oversee the preparation and management of all accounts receivable billing and collection records.
  • Prepare and execute bank deposits.
  • Engage with different entities regarding sliding fee scales.

General Responsibilities:

  • Complete all required online training courses in a timely manner, adhering to state and accreditation standards.
  • Participate in at least two cultural competency training sessions annually.
  • Attend and contribute to staff training, team meetings, and all required gatherings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Consistent and punctual attendance is required.

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred; a minimum of one year of relevant accounting and medical billing experience is required; experience in a nonprofit setting is highly desirable; familiarity with Electronic Health Records is a plus. Proficient computer skills and knowledge of office equipment are essential.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • First Aid/CPR certification or the ability to obtain certification is required.
  • A valid driver's license and insurance are necessary upon hire.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs and navigate stairs.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
