Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team at South Shore Health System. As a key member of our multi-specialty group practice, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to our organization's mission to improve the health and well-being of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and Manage Patient Care
    • Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations to diagnose and treat patients.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' medical needs.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team
    • Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and enhance the quality of care.
  • Provide Education and Support
    • Offer patients and their families education and support to promote healthy behaviors and disease management.
    • Develop and implement patient education programs to enhance health literacy and self-care skills.
  • Contribute to Quality Improvement
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve patient care.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure
    • Completion of an accredited Advanced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner training program.
    • Current licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
