The Event Coordinator will play a pivotal role in orchestrating memorable experiences at Lola's Restaurant & Bar. This position involves overseeing the entire event planning process, ensuring that each occasion is executed seamlessly and meets the expectations of our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all incoming inquiries through various channels including Resy, phone, and email.
  • Facilitate the closing of deals and provide comprehensive support to guests throughout their event planning journey.
  • Achieve annual sales targets by securing group and catering events.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities and collaborations with local businesses.
  • Develop action plans and participate in networking events to generate new business leads.
  • Foster guest loyalty and encourage repeat bookings.
  • Coordinate with the service team to communicate all event specifics; collaborate with the General Manager and Executive Chef to ensure flawless execution of each event.
  • Manage bookings for events of varying sizes while efficiently prioritizing tasks.
  • Engage in off-site activities to cultivate a strong team environment.
  • Be present on-site during events to ensure smooth operations.
  • Conduct follow-ups with clients post-event to gather feedback and maintain contact for future opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Essential: Familiarity with the West Loop area of Chicago.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a catering or special events role.
  • Experience in a restaurant or related field is preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including extended shifts when necessary.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities.
  • Proficient in software applications such as TOAST, Microsoft Office, and Canva.
