Job Summary

Chicago Artists Coalition is seeking a highly skilled Corporate and Benefit Manager to join our development team. This role is responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive fundraising initiatives to increase contributed income from corporate giving, board engagement, and the annual gala.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow Chicago Humanities' corporate giving program
  • Plan and produce the benefit, including event budgets, underwriting, sponsorship, table and/or ticket sales, RSVPs, in-kind contributions, and vendor management
  • Collaborate with the Director of Development to prepare fiscal year budgets for corporate and benefit revenue, track progress towards goals, and provide staff support for the Governance and Nominating Committee and Development Committee of the Board of Directors
  • Track board annual giving, including progress to call, create timely written communications and mailings as necessary, and prepare necessary materials including agendas, reports, action items, and tracking systems

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of progressive development experience in a multi-faceted development shop with exposure to corporate giving and event planning
  • Excellent project management, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of poise and professionalism in all circumstances
  • Ability to initiate and build relationships with prospective donors
  • Demonstrated ability to take primary responsibility for a diverse number of projects and to complete them on time with limited supervision
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
  • Knowledge of Raiser's Edge or a similar donor CRM
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
