Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinical Support Specialist will assist with administrative and clinical tasks essential to healthcare providers operating in a clinical environment.

This support will be provided under the direct supervision of the healthcare provider. The healthcare provider will evaluate and authorize actions to be taken at critical points during patient care.

The goal is to reduce the administrative responsibilities of the healthcare provider while enhancing their clinical engagement, thereby improving patient throughput and satisfaction, under the healthcare provider's direct supervision.


Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (subject to variation) No evening, weekend, or holiday shifts

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION

Educational Background:


Successful completion of a certified Nurse Aide or Emergency Medical Technician training program, validated through transcripts or original certification OR Graduation from a Medical Assistant program OR Currently enrolled in an Associate Degree in Nursing (A.D.N.) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) program with successful completion of the first semester of A.D.N. OR completion of the first year of nursing courses in a B.S.N. program OR graduation from an A.D.N., Diploma, B.S.N., or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program

Professional Experience:
A minimum of six months of experience in a healthcare setting performing patient care duties is preferred
Additional experience with computer systems is advantageous

Key Skills and Competencies:
Effective communication skills with the ability to maintain professionalism with patients and colleagues
Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
Proficient computer skills
Ability to adapt and be flexible
Acts as a patient advocate
Preferred typing speed of 35 words per minute (verified by testing)
