  • Vehicle maintenance facilities for various transportation modes.

  • Other light industrial projects.
We are currently seeking an Industrial Architectural Specialist. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in architecture or engineering who are interested in designing transit and light industrial facilities. You will collaborate closely with a Senior Industrial Architect on various tasks, focusing on functional planning, workflow optimization, and facility layout.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the collection, organization, and verification of multi-discipline client stakeholder requirements.
  • Participating in on-site workshops and presentations with clients and fellow architects and engineers.
  • Documenting project requirements and deliverables through various reports.
  • Supporting functional planning of transit and industrial facilities, including needs assessments and master planning.
  • Creating process flow diagrams to illustrate personnel, material, vehicle, and equipment flows.
  • Developing functional programs that outline area space needs and requirements.
  • Compiling equipment lists, schedules, and datasheets.
  • Modeling industrial shop equipment and storage solutions.
  • Preparing and revising documentation across various architectural phases, including site plans and building elevations.
  • Utilizing BIM technologies for three-dimensional layouts and diagrams.
  • Coordinating operational and maintenance clearances with a multi-discipline design team.
  • Engaging in design critiques and project reviews.
  • Assisting in the bidding and negotiation phases, preparing necessary addenda.
  • Reviewing shop drawings and responding to RFIs, along with other contract administration tasks.
  • Leading project coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participating in client project requirement discussions and value analysis.
  • Assisting in the preparation and coordination of project specifications.
  • Conducting quality assurance and quality control on assigned projects.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Strong understanding of architectural document production and the interplay between drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to conduct space planning and manage building program adjacencies.
  • Proficiency in developing floor plans, sections, and details.
  • Capability to review the work of others for accuracy and manage time effectively.
  • Experience leading teams through all phases of project documentation.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team setting throughout all project phases.
  • Creative and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communication of concepts through hand sketches and other means.
  • Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, and building programs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with remote collaboration and team leadership.
  • Proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD as design tools.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe software.
Education and Experience

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, or Mechanical Engineering, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
