Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Account Executive to strategically market and promote energy efficiency, conservation, and renewable technology solutions in commercial, industrial, institutional, government, and public housing markets.
Key Responsibilities- Develop thorough knowledge of the energy industry, structure, trends, and issues to ensure full discovery and understanding of customers' primary business objectives and requirements.
- Develop the sales strategy to exceed annual sales quotas.
- Cultivate effective business relationships with C-Level, financial, and technical stakeholders and communicate the full scope of Ameresco solutions and services to meet customer energy savings requirements.
- Provide account management processes, understand the assigned market, execute, and deliver progress and sales activity.
- Understand local and national challenges faced by local government, K-12 school districts, and highly preferred markets.
- Assist clients in contract process and financing.
- Create and deliver customer-focused proposals and manage customer agreements.
- Manage sales and pipeline activity in Salesforce.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years (or equivalent) progressive experience marketing complex energy efficiency, renewable technology, and performance contracting solutions within energy services and target markets.
- Active progress toward industry-related or advanced education.
- Experienced in lead development, account management skills, and ability to close complex deals.
- Proven sales track record of securing complex offerings to C-level management.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Energy Conservation and Energy Legislation.
- Extensive knowledge of proactive prospecting at the financial decision-making level with building owners and executives at the C-level.
- Be a motivated team player, always coachable and professional.
- Understand public finance and operating budgets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
- Excellent verbal, written, computer communication, and technical presentation skills.
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and positive business relationships.
- Valid Driver's License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
