Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Executive to join our team at Staples, Inc. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and developing strategic relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pursue and develop new business opportunities with targeted Enterprise accounts
  • Execute Total Sales strategies to move prospects to active opportunities and position Staples Technology Solutions as the preferred solution
  • Prepare for consultative engagement with prospects through thorough research and demonstration of knowledge of prospective customers' industries and business issues
  • Collaborate with Staples office products Key Account Managers, Business Development Executives, and other sales teams to secure contractual relationships in the technology category
  • Work with Sales Support Team to improve customer response times
  • Provide input to sales leadership on new potential programs and initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with C-Level executives and work directly with vendor partners at a senior executive level
Requirements
  • Confidence in applying business and financial expertise to identify and qualify opportunities
  • Deep understanding of the current geographic marketplace and strong connections with decision makers and influencers in the IT and procurement areas
  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills
  • Mastery in developing trusted customer relationships up to C-level
  • Ability to match customer needs with state-of-the-art technology solutions and partners
  • Negotiation skills to craft solutions beneficial to customers, partners, and Staples Technology Solutions
  • Ability to use and engage internal resources such as Marketing, Technology Experts, Services, and others
  • Highly skilled at creating customer-facing presentations in PowerPoint and other methods
  • Strong understanding of the IT industry and ability to recognize, follow, and speak to industry trends
