Overview

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and support the lighting requirements of artists during performances, from setup to teardown.
  • Maintain direct communication with the production team, ensuring seamless coordination on performance days.
  • Ensure all lighting equipment and assets are kept in optimal condition.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
  • Exhibit a readiness to engage with various departments and assist with production tasks beyond lighting.
  • Foster a safe, organized, and respectful working environment that surpasses the expectations of artists and audiences alike.
  • Contribute to maintaining the Neptune Theatre's reputation as a premier venue.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong prioritization skills in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
  • Familiarity with power distribution, lighting control systems, and equipment.
  • Proficient in lighting focus and programming techniques.
  • Experience interpreting lighting plots, patch lists, and stage layouts.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the GrandMA3 Console and commonly used lighting fixtures.
  • Ability to adhere to production timelines and meet established deadlines.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a lighting designer in similar live performance venues.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Vision or corrected vision near 20/20 is essential for fulfilling job requirements.
  • Physical activities include standing, walking, lifting, and sitting, with approximately 20% of the time spent at a desk or console.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and lift weights exceeding 40 pounds.
