KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee and support the lighting requirements of artists during events, from setup to teardown.
  • Maintain direct communication with the production team and lighting designers throughout the event.
  • Ensure all lighting equipment and assets are kept in optimal condition.
  • Demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively within a team as well as work independently.
  • Exhibit a willingness to engage with various departments and assist with non-lighting production tasks as needed.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and respectful work environment while striving to exceed expectations of both artists and attendees.
  • Contribute to maintaining the Neptune Theatre as a premier venue for live performances.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong prioritization skills in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
  • Familiarity with power distribution, lighting control systems, and related hardware.

  • Experience interpreting lighting plots, patch lists, and stage diagrams.
  • In-depth knowledge of the GrandMA3 Console and commonly used lighting fixtures.
  • Ability to adhere to production timelines and meet project deadlines.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a lighting designer in comparable live performance venues.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Vision or corrected vision close to 20/20 is essential for effectively performing job duties.

  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours and lift weights exceeding 40 pounds.
