About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Regional Vice President to lead our automotive business within a designated region. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for executing a strategic plan that aligns with our company's overall objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide vision and guidance to General Managers to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and develop the performance of General Management staff and their subsequent leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with General Managers to review activity, operating, and sales reports to determine changes in programs or operations required.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and goals throughout the region.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with central services to identify and implement strategic continuous improvement and company initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison with manufacturers in the region, working with factory representatives to achieve factory objectives.
  • Communicate with central services regularly to ensure strong partnership, support, and alignment with company-wide initiatives.
  • Directs and coordinates the promotion of services performed to develop new markets, increase share of market, and obtain competitive position in industry.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify opportunities and challenges, implementing corrective action when needed.
  • Analyze department budgets to identify areas in which profit opportunities can be maximized or cost can be minimized.
  • Manage and oversee the needs of each facility in the region in partnership with the facilities team.
  • Act as the regional executive leader, successfully mitigating customer escalation through effective communication and follow-through.
  • Ensure operational excellence by overseeing day-to-day business operations within the region.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field strongly preferred, but not required.
  • 10+ years' experience at a management level within a retail dealership or automotive industry; multiple levels of reporting relationships strongly preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience within own function and general knowledge of areas, departments, and/or function(s) within and across other disciplines.
  • Manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact.
  • Collaborates and participates in the execution of overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business.
  • Holds business acumen and leadership experience to become a top function or division head.
  • Collaborate and execute on a clear strategy and communicates the steps to accelerate the organization toward goals.
  • Anticipates and addresses the impact of key decisions strategically and financially.
  • Practices effective succession planning.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
