Job Overview

Hometown Health Center is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Operations Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential for managing both administrative and clinical functions, ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services.

As a prominent provider in the healthcare sector, Hometown Health Center delivers over 32,000 medical, dental, and behavioral health appointments annually to a diverse patient base. With an expansion underway, we are focused on creating a supportive environment for our patients and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with leadership to pinpoint opportunities and challenges, developing strategies for effective decision-making and problem resolution.
  • Supervise site staff with the support of the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage coverage for absences.
  • Coordinate with office personnel to align provider schedules with established benchmarks and inform leadership of any related issues.
  • Recommend staffing adjustments based on productivity metrics and patient requirements, ensuring consistent provider availability.
  • Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for new team members.
  • Partner with the Information Systems Coordinator to facilitate annual EMR training and refreshers.
  • Engage with leadership on initiatives related to UDS, PCMH, ACO, MaineCare programs, and other quality improvement efforts.
  • Assist in investigating incidents and patient feedback as part of the risk management strategy.
  • Ensure staff are well-trained and compliant with all relevant policies and procedures, particularly the 19 HRSA key requirements.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive management experience in healthcare or a related field is required.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with a talent for managing multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism.
