Position Overview: Safety Manager

Job Summary: We are currently seeking a qualified Safety Manager with a strong background in Commercial Construction. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and compliance of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee adherence to corporate environmental health and safety policies and safe work practices.
  • Assess the effectiveness of administrative controls to safeguard employee health and safety while meeting client expectations.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and corporate safety protocols; provide feedback to management.
  • Act as a liaison for employees to address health and safety concerns.
  • Monitor and analyze injury and incident metrics to identify trends and recommend safety improvements.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and injuries, providing actionable recommendations for resolution.
  • Review accident reports and incident trends to establish evidence-based safety performance objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA requirements.
  • Assist in obtaining necessary work permits as required.
  • Oversee safety training programs for content accuracy and completion.
  • Conduct safety orientations for new hires.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations related to construction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to effectively train and motivate team members.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 25 to 30 percent).
