Position Overview: Safety Manager

Role Summary: We are currently seeking a qualified Safety Manager with a strong background in Commercial Construction. This role will focus on ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee adherence to corporate environmental health and safety policies and safe work practices.
  • Assess the effectiveness of safety measures and administrative controls to safeguard employee health and meet client expectations.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and corporate standards; provide feedback and recommendations to management.
  • Act as a liaison to address employee concerns regarding health and safety protocols.
  • Monitor and analyze injury and incident data to identify trends and recommend safety improvements.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and injuries, providing actionable recommendations for prevention.
  • Evaluate accident reports and incident trends to establish evidence-based safety performance objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA requirements.
  • Assist in the application process for necessary work permits.
  • Oversee safety training programs to ensure content relevance and completion.
  • Conduct safety orientations for new hires.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably in environmental health and safety.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction sector, with a preference for mechanical, electrical, or plumbing backgrounds.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards applicable to construction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to train and motivate team members effectively.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
