Construction Inventory Manager

Position Overview:

Type: Full Time, 40 hours/week

Compensation: Salary is based on experience

FLSA Status: Exempt

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Construction Supervisor

Job Location: Various properties across Virginia.

Role Summary:

The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement, receipt, identification, and verification of all construction inventory items. This role ensures that materials are accurately tracked, stored, and made readily available in alignment with the renovation inventory cycle.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience is required.
  • One year of experience in renovation is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Comprehensive understanding of inventory management policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily inventory assessments; identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Document daily deliveries and shipments to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Receive and verify all incoming construction materials.
  • Engage in unit surveys and inspections to ascertain necessary renovation supplies.
  • Oversee and coordinate waste disposal services.
  • Communicate effectively with management, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding inventory changes.
  • Ensure that project milestones and objectives are achieved.
  • Maintain compliance with the approved budget.
  • Evaluate suppliers to secure cost-effective agreements while fostering strong relationships.
  • Assist with the general upkeep and cleanliness of storage areas.
  • Prioritize the security of materials, ensuring containers are secured daily.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
