Salary:
$28 to $50 Hourly. We provide competitive compensation based on experience. This role primarily involves traveling for service calls and installations following training at our facility. Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC/R and a strong understanding of single-stage refrigeration systems. Familiarity with cascade refrigeration is advantageous. Field Service Engineer Responsibilities:
What Your Role Entails:

  1. Conduct field installations and start-ups, perform preventative maintenance, and execute performance tests to ensure compliance with manufacturing specifications and requirements, documenting product performance.

  2. Provide training and guidance to users on the proper operation and maintenance of our products.

  3. Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate various refrigeration systems, electronics, and electro-mechanical components using schematics to restore products to operational status.

  4. Establish and nurture positive relationships with clients, coordinating service calls, generating work, and promoting the benefits of refrigeration and controller retrofits.

  5. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of company warranty, maintenance, and service policies.

  6. Keep accurate vehicle logs, maintenance schedules, and detailed reports of field service and travel expenses.


Travel Requirements:
Expect weekly local and regional travel to client locations. You will receive full hourly pay for travel time, along with a weekly $70 per diem for personal expenses, with no receipts required. The company covers all travel costs, and a work vehicle will be provided.

Qualifications for Success:

Minimum of 2 years of experience or training in commercial/industrial refrigeration or HVAC/R.

Experience with electronics and controls programming is essential.

Preferred qualifications include experience or training in cascade refrigeration systems, an EPA Universal Certificate, and experience in the environmental simulation systems industry.

A valid driver's license is required.


Physical Demands:
The physical requirements for this position include regular standing, frequent use of hands for handling tools, and the ability to climb or balance. Employees must be able to walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and communicate effectively. Lifting requirements include regularly moving up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
