Position Overview:

EDI Staffing is in search of a seasoned ETL Developer with a robust background in the Healthcare sector. This role offers a hybrid contract-to-hire opportunity, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implementation: Architect, develop, and maintain ETL workflows utilizing Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS to enhance business operations and support data warehousing initiatives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and interpret requirements, converting them into actionable technical specifications.
  • Data Management: Execute data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from diverse sources, ensuring seamless integration into MS SQL Server.
  • Performance Optimization: Enhance ETL processes for improved efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Develop and uphold data integration solutions that prioritize data integrity and quality.
  • Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting and support for existing ETL processes and data integration workflows.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with IT teams, including database administrators and data architects, to align data integration efforts with business objectives.
  • Data Modeling: Participate in the design and implementation of data models, including the creation of fact and dimension tables.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all ETL processes, data flows, and mappings.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to data governance policies and regulations, including HIPAA, throughout all data integration activities.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior developers and team members.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in ETL development and data integration.
Qualifications:
  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS in a data integration capacity.
  • Experience with healthcare data and familiarity with health plan systems.
  • Extensive background in data transformation and integration, particularly within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong grasp of relational database design and SQL programming.
  • Proficient in crafting complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, especially the Kimball methodology.
  • Familiarity with additional Microsoft Business Intelligence tools, such as SSRS and Power BI, is advantageous.
  • Experience with cloud data integration, particularly with Microsoft Azure, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Certifications in SQL Server or related technologies.
  • Knowledge of data governance and master data management tools.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools.
Skills and Abilities:
  • In-depth knowledge of ETL best practices and data transformation techniques.
  • Ability to design efficient ETL processes ensuring data accuracy and quality.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex data integration challenges.
