Position Overview:
EDI Staffing is looking for a seasoned ETL Developer with a strong background in the Healthcare sector for a hybrid contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and executing ETL processes utilizing Microsoft Business Intelligence tools, particularly MS SQL Server and SSIS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and sustain ETL processes using MS SQL Server and SSIS to enhance business operations and support data warehousing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical specifications for ETL workflows.
  • Execute data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from diverse sources, including databases and cloud services, into MS SQL Server.
  • Optimize ETL processes to boost performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain data integration solutions that uphold data quality and integrity.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for existing ETL processes and related workflows.
  • Work with IT teams, including database administrators and data architects, to ensure alignment of data integration processes with business needs.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of data models, including the creation of fact and dimension tables using established methodologies.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all ETL processes, data flows, and mappings.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance policies and regulations throughout all data integration activities.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to team members.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in data integration and ETL development.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of ETL development standards and methodologies.

Qualifications:
  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS in a data integration capacity.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data and understanding of health plan systems and regulations.
  • Extensive experience in data transformation and integration, particularly within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of relational database design, SQL programming, and performance optimization.
  • Proficient in crafting complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts, including methodologies for data modeling.
  • Familiarity with additional Microsoft Business Intelligence tools, such as SSRS and Power BI, is advantageous.
  • Experience with cloud data integration, especially Microsoft Azure services, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Certifications in SQL Server or related technologies.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and master data management tools.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of ETL best practices and data transformation techniques.
  • Ability to design and implement efficient ETL processes ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex data integration challenges.
