COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

POSITION DETAILS:

JOB TITLE: Facilities Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Retreat

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

SALARY RANGE: $18.49 - $21.64

REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is accountable for the overall aesthetics and safety of the facility and grounds. Responsibilities include direct supervision of housekeeping personnel and community protection coordinators, ensuring that the premises are maintained in a clean and appealing manner while adhering to state regulations for staffing coverage.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinate and oversee the scheduling and supervision of routine and specialized cleaning activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the facility and grounds meet appearance standards.
  • Adjust daily schedules and assignments based on operational needs.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, providing hands-on support and training in effective cleaning practices.
  • Perform all duties of housekeeping staff to model high-quality standards.
  • Demonstrate initiative by anticipating needs, prioritizing tasks, and efficiently managing both routine and emergency situations.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate community protection coordinators.
  • Manage staff evaluations and the disciplinary process.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond appropriately to fire and emergency drills and situations as per established protocols.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
  • Maintain equipment in clean and operational condition for subsequent users.
  • Assist coworkers, visitors, and volunteers with respect and dignity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred.

Experience: Up to six months of experience in housekeeping, with leadership experience preferred.

Skills: Strong multitasking abilities, proactive approach, attention to detail, organizational skills, effective teamwork, and communication skills, including writing proficiency. Ability to manage time effectively and supervise a team of housekeepers.

Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of cleaning products and tools, as well as best practices for maintaining clean and attractive facilities.

Bilingual: Preferred language is Spanish.

ADA COMPLIANCE:

Physical Requirements: This role requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting moderately heavy objects (up to 100 pounds).

Sensory Requirements: Tasks may require the ability to perceive and discriminate odors and depths, with most tasks necessitating visual perception.

Environmental Considerations: Duties may involve exposure to various environmental conditions, including strong odors, dust, humidity, and allergens.
