JOB DETAILS:
POSITION TITLE: Facilities Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Retreat
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
PAY: $18.49-$21.64
REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
This position is accountable for maintaining the aesthetics and safety of the building and grounds. The Facilities Coordinator will oversee housekeeping staff and community protection coordinators, ensuring that the premises are kept clean, secure, and compliant with state regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The following functions are representative of the tasks performed in this role:
· Organize and supervise routine and special cleaning assignments.
· Conduct regular inspections to assess the condition of the building and grounds.
· Modify schedules and assignments based on daily operational needs.
· Collaborate with staff, providing hands-on support and training in best cleaning practices.
· Perform all duties of housekeeping and porter roles to model high-quality work.
- Demonstrate initiative by anticipating needs, managing time effectively, and prioritizing tasks.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate community protection coordinators.
- Conduct staff evaluations and manage disciplinary actions as necessary.
· Respond appropriately to fire and emergency drills and situations as per established protocols.
· Report maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly.
· Ensure equipment is left clean and in good working order for subsequent staff.
· Assist coworkers, members, visitors, and volunteers with respect and dignity.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred.
Minimum Years of Experience: Up to six months in a housekeeping role with team leadership experience.
Demonstrate Skills: Strong multi-tasking abilities, proactive approach, attention to detail, organizational skills, effective teamwork, and communication skills, including writing.
Knowledge: Proficient understanding of cleaning products and tools, and the proper use of cleaning agents. Knowledge of maintaining a clean and appealing environment.
Bilingual: Preferred language: Spanish.
ADA COMPLIANCE
Physical Ability: This role requires the ability to exert significant physical effort, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting moderately heavy objects (up to 100 pounds).
Sensory Requirements: Tasks may require the ability to perceive and discriminate odors and depths, as well as visual perception.
Environmental Factors: Regular exposure to various environmental conditions, including strong odors, dust, humidity, and allergens.
