Job Overview

We are looking for a Custodial Operations Supervisor to manage a team of 17-20 unionized custodial staff within an educational institution. The role requires availability from Monday to Friday, working the hours of 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM, with a rotating schedule that includes two days off during the week every third weekend.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and guide custodial personnel to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and correctly.
  • Address and resolve any personnel or management-related issues that arise.
  • Strategically allocate team members to various areas to enhance cleaning effectiveness.

Essential Skills
  • Hard Skills: Proven supervisory or managerial experience overseeing a team of 10 or more employees.
  • Familiarity with cleaning processes including floor maintenance, waxing, stripping, and carpet care.

  • Soft Skills: Strong ability to address issues firmly and effectively.
  • Excellent skills in team deployment and task prioritization.

Employment Type

This position is classified as Contract-to-Hire, with an initial duration of 90 days.
Work Environment

This role is fully on-site within a college campus setting.
