POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Group Copy Supervisor (GCS) is accountable for overseeing all facets of copy across a significant portfolio of brands and a dedicated team of copywriters. This role entails generating innovative campaign ideas and creative strategies, ensuring high-quality execution, and delivering strategic brand solutions. The GCS collaborates intimately with cross-functional brand teams to uphold the creative integrity of the work produced. Additionally, the GCS plays a crucial role in mentoring and developing the careers of copy team members, acting as a strong advocate for creativity and providing essential support to creative leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Creative Development and Execution

Oversees and contributes to the copy content for various projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and maintaining originality and appeal in language that resonates with target audiences.

Collaboration Across Teams

Works closely with members from different departments to ensure that the creative vision for the brands and agency is effectively realized.

Strategic Insight

Possesses a thorough understanding of marketing strategies, objectives, and success metrics, applying this knowledge to enhance creative output.

Client Engagement

Regularly presents creative concepts to internal teams and clients, facilitating discussions that elevate the quality of work based on comprehensive market insights and brand strategies.

Team Leadership

The GCS supervises and nurtures the copywriting team, providing constructive feedback to maximize their creative potential and ensuring independent work aligns with team goals.

Administrative Duties

Maintains an organized and detail-oriented approach to administrative responsibilities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

DEGREE/DIPLOMA FIELDS OF STUDY REQUIRED/PREFERRED

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related discipline - Preferred

EXPERIENCE:

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

2-6 years in Advertising/Marketing - Preferred

Experience in Pharmaceutical Advertising - Preferred

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with Adobe Suite.

  • Strong understanding of social media and digital marketing best practices.
  • Knowledge of healthcare copywriting standards, including AMA style and regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
