The Senior Copy Group Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to uphold the quality and integrity of the creative output. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Creative Development and Execution

Accountable for the entirety of copy across various brands, striking a balance between client goals and the agency's creative vision.

Collaborative Engagement

Works in tandem with cross-departmental colleagues to ensure the creative vision for brands is consistently met and maintained.

Strategic Insight

Possesses a thorough understanding of marketing strategies, objectives, and metrics for success.

Client Relations

Regularly presents creative concepts to internal teams and clients, facilitating discussions to enhance the work based on a deep understanding of market data and brand strategy.

Team Leadership

The Senior Copy Group Manager supervises copywriters and freelancers, providing constructive feedback to maximize their creative potential and ensuring independent workflow.

Creative Development and Execution

  • Leads and contributes to copy for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and originality.
  • Guides the crafting of engaging language for diverse audiences across multiple platforms while adhering to brand tone.
  • Offers direction on artistic elements related to the creative concept.
  • Generates bold, innovative ideas to support brand objectives while managing daily copy requirements.
  • Actively participates in agency/client review processes, revising copy as necessary and resolving inconsistencies through collaboration.
  • Demonstrates consistent effectiveness across various projects and brands.

Collaborative Engagement

  • Fosters positive relationships with various agency departments, including Editorial, Account Management, Strategy, and Project Management.
  • Communicates effectively with team members regarding deadlines, revisions, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborates closely with Art partners to execute creative strategies that convey brand identity and messaging.
  • Proactively shares new ideas and suggestions for personal and team development.

Strategic Insight

  • Serves as an advocate for the client's market landscape, competition, and marketing strategies.
  • Proactively generates innovative concepts that align with client marketing strategies and audience needs.
  • Actively engages in strategic brainstorming sessions.
  • Fully comprehends the creative brief and its role in the creative process, incorporating client feedback.

Client Relations

  • Builds and maintains strong client relationships through clear presentations and a thorough understanding of brand data and strategic direction.

Team Leadership

  • Communicates productively with all team members to ensure the creative vision is upheld and deadlines are met.
  • Mentors and inspires the copy team, delegating tasks as appropriate.
  • Responsible for the complete talent management cycle, including feedback and performance evaluations.

Administrative Duties

  • Ensures timely and accurate reporting of timesheets for the team.
  • Contributes to discussions regarding resource allocation and project scoping.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

2-6 years of experience in Advertising/Marketing is preferred, with exposure to Pharmaceutical Advertising being a plus.

SKILLS:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with Adobe Suite. Knowledge of social media and digital best practices is essential. Understanding of healthcare copywriting standards is preferred.
