About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Business Development to join our team at ButterflyMX. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the strategy and operations of our Business Development function, with a focus on maximizing quality pipeline development for the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the entire Business Development function, overseeing the strategy and operations to drive quality pipeline development.
  • Oversee a team of Sales Development Representatives, including hiring, coaching, individual development and motivation, and performance management.
  • Own the collective quota for a subset of the SDR teams.
  • Identify trends and customer needs, building a sales pipeline for the short/medium/long term per targets.
  • Develop strategies and positions by analyzing new-venture integration.
  • Develop Sales Development teams with a 'lead by example' approach.
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies and delegate tasks to achieve strategic goals.
  • Motivate, track performance, and report metrics.
  • Assist in developing SDR onboarding and continuous training plan.
  • Establish and refine prospecting, qualification, and booking standards for the team.
  • Improve our current sales operations and tech stack to maximize SDR efficiency, effectiveness, and happiness, including processes, software, and resources.
  • Provide ad-hoc and planned trainings for all SDRs.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience managing SDR teams.
  • Experience managing a business development/sales development department of 30+.
  • Demonstrate a high level of accountability for both your work and the work of your team.
  • Enjoy collaborating with people to get work done, but know when to take ownership of a task.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Work fast but thoughtfully, and make suggestions for efficiencies along the way.
