Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Clinical Support Coordinator will play a vital role in facilitating daily healthcare operations and managing patient care. This position encompasses a variety of clinical and administrative responsibilities aimed at supporting the healthcare team in delivering high-quality patient services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide patients to examination rooms, preparing them for assessments and accurately recording pre-examination metrics such as height, weight, BMI, and vital signs.
  • Execute assigned clinical duties, including vital sign checks, urine and blood sample collection, administering injections, performing electrocardiograms, and managing routine dressing changes.
  • Assist the healthcare team with specific medical treatments and procedures as needed.
  • Administer and document injections in accordance with established facility protocols.
  • Ensure all clinical interactions are thoroughly documented in the facility's electronic medical records (EMR) system in a timely manner.
  • Maintain effective communication with both the healthcare team and patients regarding follow-up care.
  • Support the healthcare team by performing tasks such as clinical assistance, retrieving medical records, sterilizing instruments, preparing examination rooms, filing, stocking supplies, and providing front desk support.
  • Manage inventory by ordering and maintaining adequate supplies and equipment in examination rooms and clinic areas.
  • Conduct minor cleaning tasks to uphold a sanitary and organized office and clinical environment.
  • Regularly inspect clinic areas and examination rooms for any equipment malfunctions, damaged furniture, or maintenance issues, reporting findings to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred, along with at least one year of relevant experience in an office, customer service, or patient care setting.

Essential Skills:

  • Certification or registration must be verifiable through a recognized national agency, if applicable.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with sound judgment and professional patient relations.
  • Highly motivated with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities as required.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various database systems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and explain information to patients and their families.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills delivered in a friendly and approachable manner.
  • Familiarity with basic medical terminology.
  • Capability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
