Job Summary

The Operations & Maintenance Division of the Land Use & Transportation Department is seeking an Administrative Specialist II to join their team.

This role works closely with the Operations and Maintenance Division to provide administrative support and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Operations and Maintenance Division
  • Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries
  • Enter service requests into the IRIS database and right-of-way permit applications into Accela permitting software
  • Collect fees and process travel authorizations and training requests
  • Schedule and track Adopt-A-Road and Adopt-A-Landscape groups
  • Take meeting minutes and support road crews and technicians during emergency weather conditions

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent and three years of progressively responsible experience providing administrative or clerical support are required.

Possession of Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) or other applicable certifications may substitute for up to one year of the experience requirement.

Selection Process:

  • HR will screen applications for minimum qualifications
  • A panel of subject matter experts will review and score applications
  • Panel interviews will be scheduled with candidates who meet the minimum qualifications and pass the SME review
