Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:

Milgard Windows and Doors is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of non-routine purchasing activities, requiring knowledge of basic procurement policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of non-routine purchasing activities, requiring knowledge of basic procurement policies.
  • Maintain vendor files and logs, prepare orders, analyze quotes, verify deliveries, and obtain pricing information.
  • Purchase raw materials and finished goods according to established procedures.
  • Generate purchase orders as required by the Bill of Materials, stock supply on hand, and inventory count.
  • Update the system to reflect receipt of materials.
  • Process discrepant material reports as required and/or requested.
  • Reflect Milgard's Quality Pillars in all business interactions.
  • Research vendors and suppliers and their respective pricing to ensure Milgard is getting optimum value.
  • Prepare, review, and distribute daily reports.
  • Research all backorder issues and expedite product as necessary.
  • Incorporate Milgard's vision and values into day-to-day activities and behaviors.
  • Adhere to all facets of safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Experience in purchasing/procurement preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED. Some college is preferred but not required.
  • Purchasing Certificate is desired.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Computer literacy with the ability to learn new computer software programs.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with an attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Prolonged sitting and terminal use.
  • Minimal lifting of office equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. along with hand dexterity and strength.
  • The ability to work overtime may be required.
  • Experience with multiple phone lines.
