We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Richmond American Homes. As a key member of our purchasing department, you will play a crucial role in sourcing and procuring materials and services for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and manage estimates, takeoffs, plans, and other relevant documentation to ensure accurate and timely procurement of materials and services.
  • Identify and develop new vendor relationships to improve our supply chain and reduce costs.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure fair and competitive pricing.
  • Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze supplier performance to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and conflicts related to trade partner activities.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in residential purchasing and contracting, preferably in the homebuilding industry.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction and building codes.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and other relevant software.
