Job Summary:

The Sourcing Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the procurement of high-quality materials at competitive rates. This position involves strategic sourcing, negotiation with suppliers, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Qualification and Negotiation: Identify and qualify suppliers that meet the company's stringent quality and compliance standards. Negotiate favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
  • Material Requirements Planning: Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to understand material requirements and specifications.
  • Market Trend Analysis: Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and process improvements.
  • Procurement Process Management: Manage the procurement process from RFQ to PO issuance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Supplier Contract Management: Maintain accurate records of supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and procurement activities in the ERP system.
  • Strategic Sourcing Initiatives: Support strategic sourcing initiatives, including supplier rationalization and supply chain optimization projects.
  • KPI Monitoring: Monitor corresponding KPIs to comply with company goals and objectives.

Competency Requirements:

  • Negotiation and Business Relationship Management: Ability to negotiate and manage business relationships.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Suite (Teams, Excel, Outlook, Word). Experience with ERP/MRP, preferably M3.
  • Component Sourcing: Experience in component sourcing.

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Supply Chain or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 4+ years purchasing experience in manufacturing required, with a focus on electronics preferred. Experience in contract manufacturing is preferred. ERP experience required.
  • Supplier Sourcing Experience: Experience sourcing suppliers from different platforms required.
