Job Title: Purchasing/Admin

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at ResourceMFG. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring high-quality materials and supplies to support our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage purchase orders for raw materials, out-plant processes, and plant supplies.
  • Negotiate best purchase price, quality, and delivery terms with suppliers.
  • Identify new sources of materials and evaluate inventory trends to optimize procurement processes.
  • Maintain Purchased Item Masters/Cards in our MRP system.
  • Participate in vendor selection and ongoing performance evaluation.
  • Review material exception reports for potential late deliveries and inform relevant departments of risks or changes to the supply chain.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to expedite materials as needed.
  • Work with production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve material quality issues.
  • Serve as a backup for answering phone and office questions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong negotiating experience and proficiency in ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
