HR Policy Specialist

This role is responsible for interpreting HR policies, procedures, and programs for all employees and managers. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries and investigations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of employment labor laws and experience in HR generalist roles. They will be able to provide guidance to managers on handling difficult employee relations issues and investigate complaints regarding working conditions, disciplinary actions, and other HR-related matters.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent required. Two (2) + years experience as an HR representative/generalist in a large company or supporting a line Business Unit. English/Spanish bilingual preferred.
Responsibilities:- Respond to telephone and email inquiries regarding employee relations matters by interpreting and explaining company policies, referring questions to Payroll or Benefits Help Desks when necessary, and acting as intermediary between employees and these departments.
- Provide guidance to managers on handling difficult or complex employee relations issues, including advising on appropriate disciplinary actions and procedures to ensure consistency.
- Investigate issues and provide resolution on complaints about working conditions, disciplinary actions, employee and applicant appeals, alleged wrongful terminations, harassment and discrimination allegations, or other HR-related matters.
- Research salary/wage treatments (merit increases, promotions, demotions, adjustments) when issues are not resolved through standard processes.
- Consult with in-house Legal Counsel as needed to obtain advice on problem resolution and escalate issues to Field HR Consultants for investigation and resolution as necessary.
