Position Overview


The Client Service Representative plays a crucial role in managing the deposit and loan portfolio for both individual and business clients at BNY Mellon.

This position is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service through various communication channels, including phone, fax, and email, ensuring timely responses to client inquiries related to deposit and loan services.

The Client Service Representative is tasked with fostering and nurturing relationships with both internal and external clients to effectively address client needs and resolve potential issues.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in customer service, ideally within the financial or banking sector. This role demands outstanding communication, analytical, interpersonal, and leadership abilities to contribute to the success of the business line.

An understanding of banking products, services, and delivery mechanisms is advantageous. The representative will serve as a primary contact for clients and internal business units, ensuring timely completion of client requests and problem resolution.


With the support and guidance of the Banking Services Client Servicing Manager, Unit Manager, and senior team members, the Client Service Representative will have the opportunity to positively impact client relationships.

This role involves regular interaction with clients, both verbally and in writing. The representative must exhibit sensitivity to client concerns and maintain a professional demeanor in all client interactions.

Additionally, the Client Service Representative should demonstrate the ability to engage effectively with professionals at all levels, both internally and externally, to provide accurate responses to inquiries and ensure compliance with provided instructions.

The successful candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in client service, preferably in the financial services industry.

A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
