Job Summary:

The Front Desk Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless guest experiences and efficient room management. This position requires strong technical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and exceptional communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Block and pre-register suites and rooms in the property management system (PMS) according to guest requests, ensuring accurate room assignments and VIP accommodations.
  • Monitor front desk operations, informing staff and management of oversells, challenges, and special accommodations.
  • Perform room protects during sold-out periods to ensure rooms are blocked for future arrivals.
  • Verify reservation details, billing information, and room blocks in the PMS system.
  • Attend daily business review meetings to stay informed about business trends and new bookings.
  • Answer front office phones with a positive and clear voice, handling requests and problems, and delegating tasks as needed.
  • Document guest situations requiring action from other departments and follow up as necessary.
  • Maintain out-of-order and out-of-service rooms with engineering and housekeeping.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a hotel front office or related role.
Job Skills:
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office and good internet navigation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and flexibility.
  • Experience with hotel PMS systems and operational proficiency.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and superior oral/written communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Knowledge of general office equipment.
Compensation:

$18/hour
