Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Executive Vice Presidents and Vice Presidents to identify opportunities for business expansion.
- Analyze competitor strategies and industry developments to inform business development initiatives.
- Track and analyze division accounts lost, identifying patterns and developing strategies to mitigate repeat losses.
- Seek out new opportunities with new and existing clients, and assist directors with development of processes and reporting.
- Support Account Executives with coaching, mentoring, and development, and mentor and coach the Target Sales Team.
- Maintain awareness of reporting data that supports business goals, and be responsible for onboarding of Tier 1 & Tier 2 clients and customers.
- Support Executive Vice Presidents and Vice Presidents at Tier 1 & Tier 2 industry events, and serve as Account Executive for 2-3 Tier 2 clients.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in an Account Executive position, preferably within the food industry or food brokerage sector.
- Working knowledge and experience calling on Target Headquarters – preferred.
- Proven track record of successful client acquisition, relationship management, and revenue growth.
- Initiative: Identifying what needs to be done and doing it before being asked or before the situation requires it.
- Building Collaborative Relationships: The ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with others inside or outside the organization who can provide information, assistance, and support.
- Analytical Thinking: The ability to tackle a problem by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach.
- Strategic Thinking: The ability to analyze the organization's competitive position by considering market and industry trends, existing and potential customers (internal and external), and strengths and weaknesses as compared to competitors.
- Communication: The ability to ensure information is passed on to others who should be kept informed, express oneself clearly verbally and in writing, and understand others.
- Time Management: Spending time appropriately among people and projects to ensure goals are met.
- Thoroughness: Ensuring that one's own and others' work and information are complete and accurate; carefully preparing for meetings and presentations; following up with others to ensure agreements and commitments are fulfilled.
