Assistant General Manager

Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Oversee the quality and success of daily operations, including staffing, pool operations, cash management, customer service, retail and vending department, private party operations, and workplace employee activities.
- Direct and control daily operations to ensure the school is running according to GSS standard operating procedures.
- Assist the General Manager and department managers with fulfilling daily tasks.
- Manage staff to ensure high productivity, excellent performance, and positive employee satisfaction.
- Interact with Deck Supervisors and Golden Teachers on issues related to class scheduling, student progress, customer service, and employee performance and training.
- Provide sales and marketing training to all qualified sales staff.
- Gain knowledge and experience in all technology platforms to achieve a high level of competence in bookings, class scheduling, reporting, and administrative functions.
- Gain a high level of knowledge and experience in GSS pool operations to ensure understanding and satisfaction of Goldfish members.
- Initiate and oversee workplace culture and employee interaction. Maintain a high level of employee satisfaction.
- Direct and oversee the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan and all safety procedures that pertain to the GSS facility, and train all current staff on the GSS EAP.
- Maintain current certifications and stay up-to-date professionally on the aquatics and management field.
- Ability to work with children.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
High school diploma or GED is preferred. Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider required. Two or more years as a swimming instructor preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:- Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, AED, and Certified Pool Operator certification required.
- Lifeguard Instructor certification highly recommended.
While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
Compensation:$22.00 per hour
